Independent

I will insist that Galway receives an equal investment in infrastructure, as successive governments have consistently prioritised Dublin at the expense of other regions when spending national funding. This Dublin-centric approach has left Galway and the North and Western region lagging in decline.

  • Priority: Taxes and spending

A fair spend for Galway. A miserable 7.9% of investment in infrastructural projects over 1 million euro have come West, compared to 66% on the East!

  • Priority: Housing

We need affordable homes, not lip service. Galway has been starved of this essential part of the solution to the housing crisis.

  • Priority: Social issues and education

Our communities need to be supported with services around mental well being. Our education system needs to include fundamental skills such as 1st aid.
